Velvety smooth chocolate made at the base of Alaska's Chugach Mountains, by our friends at Chugach Chocolates. Dried bull kelp fronds from Southeast Alaska's rugged coast and a hint of cayenne pepper combine for taste bud bliss. Balanced chocolate richness with salty kelp, and just the right hint of spice. How often can you get your ocean vitamin fix while enjoying something so dangerously delicious?

Tasty Christmas Gift

Christmas shopping for adults is 80% about finding unique chocolates. This is a great gift because it sounds very interesting, so it's a conversation starter and it's shareable. Taste wise it doesn't stray to far from the well established "cayenne and chocolate" flavor combo. It's not that hot but the heat does linger a bit. As others have said the texture gets a little gritty as the chocolate melts away (I don't know if its the cayenne or kelp that's sticking around), but that didn't detract from the experience for me or elicit any complaints from my family. Overall tasty and fun gift. 5/5

A delicious spicy/savory chocolate bar

I am a chocoholic, and thought this bar of chocolate was excellent. The spice and seaweed are both tasty but subtle - let it melt in your mouth rather than chewing (if you can resist) for best results!

Unique treat

I ve tried almost everything from barnacle foods. So good for us and our planet. Simple ingredients, big taste. Thankyou barnacle foods and those associated. Way good chocolate.
