Kelp Compound Butter

Our own twist on this fluffy, crispy, briney bread, kelp pickles add a tangy flavor and are a beautiful addition.


  • 1/2 lb. butter (or butter alternative)
  • 3 large garlic cloves finely minced
  • 2 Tbsp. Kelp Pinch (can use Kelp Pow or other Kelp Seasoning)
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


  1. Using an electric mixer combine room temperature butter, finely minced garlic, kelp, lemon zest, and salt and black pepper to taste.
  2. Place the butter in a closed container in the refrigerator for an hour, or until set.
  3. Serve as a spread at room temperature, or use for cooking.

Store in the refrigerator for up to a month, or for up to six months in the freezer.
