I would consider myself a foodie, and I thought I'd been exposed to almost everything the food world offers (or at least heard of it). But last year I discovered chili crisp. I've been eating for 48 years; how have I missed this for so long? I currently have 5 different crisps in my fridge.

Savoury, umami, a bit of heat, balanced salt. It may be perfect. Eggs, pasta, chicken, soup. It's my new go-to to add a kick.

I’m a huge chili oil snob and this is the BEST. Goes on everything and has the yummiest umami taste bc being Asian, it’s all about the umami! It has the perfect kick too.
